Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

We are committed to providing all of our CSA members with a consistent variety of produce each week, so we need to ensure our current supply of produce is sufficient before taking on new members!

Please fill out the information form below and we will contact you within one-week to let you know our availability! If we are at membership capacity, you will be placed on our wait-list and we will notify you as soon as space becomes available.

Name(Required)

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs (sometimes referred to as a “Farm Box”) are a relatively new and creative way of connecting local farmers with local consumers — it’s an integral part of the larger movement to support local farms and food supply chains. We’re so excited about our CSA program at Mohala Farms, and are looking forward to growing it into one of the most sustainable and direct outlets of fresh organic produce to support our friends and family around the island. Here are the main points of our program:

The Big Picture

  • Community: CSA creates a direct relationship between you and the people who grow your food.
  • Investment: Your membership helps us grow food responsibly and keep both food and food dollars circulating locally.
  • Connection: Invitations and opportunities to come for special events, farm-to-table dinners, seasonal celebrations, and volunteer days.
  • And of course, you receive a weekly supply of fresh, nutrient-rich organic, produce!

The Logistics

  • CSA shares are provided once a week at a convenient location in town (Church of the Crossroads, on Bingham Street in Mo’ili’ili) or here on the farm in Waialua.
  • Pick-up in Honolulu is every Tuesday from 3–6 pm, and North Shore pick-ups are Tuesdays from 3:30–6 pm and Saturdays from 8 am–1 pm.
  • Shares come in two sizes:

North Shore                                Honolulu (+ $5 delivery fee)
Half Share: $25/week               Half Share: $30/week
Full Share: $40/week                Full Share: $45/week

The Produce

  • Produce will include a diverse supply of what is growing and in season at our farm.
  • All produce is 100% organic — all of our practices comply with, and exceed, federal organic standards.
  • While we are unable to accommodate share-customizations at this time — we always welcome feedback & suggestions, and do our best to bring you more of what you like! We are continuously experimenting with various crops and would love to hear your suggestions.
  • We provide recipes in our CSA-Member-only newsletter at least once a month on the produce you will receive in your share.
  • We are currently growing: collard greens, a variety of different kale, swiss chard, green beans, arugula, lettuces and specialty greens, tatsoi, turnips and radishes, taro, cucumbers, tomatoes, okra, parsley, cilantro, basil, sage, chives, oregano, mint, thyme, lilikoi, banana, papaya, lemons, limes, avocados — and more! These supplies do change, so not all of these may be always available.

Payments

  • We prefer a minimum commitment of 3-months to our CSA program, as this allows for us to plan our planting season most effectively.  However, we also accept monthly memberships — just let us know what works best for you!
  • Payments are due in-full at the beginning of each period.
  • We can accept payments by cash, check, or Venmo. Additionally, you can sign-up & pay in one-go using these links:

Cancellations & Out of Town Pick Ups

  • If you are out of town or can’t pick up your share, we encourage you to ask a friend or family member to pick-up on your behalf & enjoy it themselves!
  • If you are not able to arrange for an alternative pick-up and miss your pickup, your food basket will be donated to a local organization (IHS, River of Life, etc.)

Prepared Foods

  • You are invited to request any of our prepared food items and/or eggs that we have as an additional purchase with your weekly share — just let us know in advance.
  • Orders need to be communicated with us with at least 48-hours advance notice of your pick-up day.
  • Payments for these items will be at time of pick-up, through Venmo, cash, or check.

Please let us know if you are interested in participating in our program by email or by phone (Ceci at (518) 937-2372 or csa@mohalafarms.org). Many thanks for your support thus far!
