Lifelong Education
Whether planting a seed, installing an irrigation system or building an adobe oven, there are endless opportunities on a farm to learn new skills and develop deeper understandings of our natural environment. At Mohala Farms, we are creating a place designed to welcome visitors of all ages interested in learning more about organic and sustainable farming practices and of developing practical resources to help new and prospective organic farmers succeed in their endeavors.
Educational activities at the farm include our farm internship program, workshops and retreats on organic agricultural practices, participation in University of Hawaii organic farming research projects, and hands-on learning activities with school groups, churches and other community-based organizations.
Bring your school groups, churches, and community-based organizations to explore a variety of hands-on activities designed to connect people with their local land, waters, and food. Dive into the world of sustainable agriculture, inspire curiosity, and create lasting memories during an enriching educational experience at Mohala Farms.

AINA IN SCHOOLS - KOKUA HAWAII FOUNDATION

Since 2006, ‘Aina in Schools, as part of the Kokua Hawai’i Foundation, has worked to connect children to their local land, waters, and food to grow a healthier Hawai’i. Mohala Farms is proud to be a longtime support and ally of this program. Our farm staff, interns, and WWOOFers enjoy helping connect local children to our ‘aina through the ‘Aina in Schools initiative.
