OUR WWOOFERS

(WORLD WIDE OPPORTUNITIES ON ORGANIC FARMS)

Background:

Since the spring of 2009, Mohala Farms has provided in-depth, work-exchange opportunities for WWOOFers from all over the world. Over 250 passionate volunteers have joined Mohala Farms in their passion for pursing organic farming on the North Shore of O’ahu.

Requirements:

Interested WWOOFers should be passionate about the ‘aina (the land) and interested in organic farming. Additional prerequisites include the ability work harmoniously in a community setting and work outside in adverse weather conditions (rain or shine).
Length of WWOOF opportunities average between 1-2 months with approximately 1-2 farm interns on the farm at any given time. These workers are trained in the full-range of organic farming activities, including sales and marketing, and many have also helped in numerous farm building and construction improvement projects.
Additional Information:
WWOOFers are expected to work 37 hours a week, five days a week. Farm volunteers receive a comfortable A-frame cabin on an elevated platform, solar-powered hot showers, and access to farm fresh produce.
